Pregnancy and Infant Loss Care Baskets & Packages

For Providers

  • About the Packages

Our loss care packages are designed for immediate use in clinical settings such as OB offices and emergency departments, where time and resources may be limited. These smaller, thoughtfully assembled packages allow staff to acknowledge a loss in the moment with compassion and care.

Each package includes essential comfort items and information connecting families to specialized pregnancy and infant loss resources, ensuring that no family leaves without acknowledgment or support.

  • About the Baskets

Our loss care baskets offer a more comprehensive form of support, typically provided in hospital settings following a pregnancy or infant loss. Each basket is carefully curated to include comfort items, keepsakes, and resource information that gently support families in the early days of grief.

For providers, these baskets serve as a meaningful extension of care, helping to bridge the gap between clinical support and emotional support, while ensuring families feel seen, acknowledged, and not alone.

  • Provider & Hospital Enrollment

Through our Care Basket & Packages Program, Healing After Loss Outreach partners with hospitals and medical providers to ensure that families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss receive compassionate, tangible support at the time of loss.

We collaborate with each setting to determine the most appropriate materials and delivery approach, making it easy for staff to offer meaningful support while connecting families to ongoing resources beyond their time in care.

We are deeply grateful to the Hunterdon County Quilting Guild for their generous donation of handmade blankets, each one thoughtfully created and placed into our loss care baskets that are distributed to local hospitals.

These quilts bring comfort and care during an incredibly tender time. Each one reflects the time, intention, and compassion behind it, offering a quiet reminder to families that they are not alone.
